Michael worked alongside his Father John in the Caravan business since leaving school and has been involved in the Caravan industry for the last 40 years. He took over as Managing Director in 1999 when Surf Bay Leisure became a Limited Company.
Michael has spent many of those years developing the Holiday Parks within the parks section of the company and has been involved for over 25 years in the repair and refurbishment side of the business, working closely with Jardine Lloyd Thompson on the Industry Disaster Plan.
Nigel joined Surf Bay Leisure in 1998 after gaining experience in accountancy practice, commerce and public sectors. His first project was to convert the business from a partnership to Ltd Company. He works closely with Michael, Darren & Adam in the strategic development of the business and has overall responsibility for IT and employment issues.
Darren joined Surf Bay Leisure in April 1999 as a Sales Advisor and progressed to the position of Sales Manager for new holiday homes. In January 2014, Darren was appointed as a Director and deals with all aspects of the business including on park sales, trade and retail.
Adam joined Surf Bay Leisure in August 1999 as a Sales Advisor and progressed to the position of Used Holiday Homes Sales Manager. In January 2014, Adam was appointed as a Director and deals with all aspects of the business including export & pre-owned holiday homes.
Gavin joined Surf Bay Leisure in 2013 and is our South West Sales Manager. Gavin oversees sales across the whole of the South West and supports the Sales Team.
Emma joined Surf Bay Leisure in July 2005 as a Sales Advisor. She has progressed to being our Area Sales manager for Devon and Cornwall and is based at our Winkleigh Sales Centre in Devon. She assists many of our Devon and Cornwall park owners and their customers.
Sam joined Surf Bay Leisure in November 2014 as a Sales Advisor and is based at our busy showroom in Winkleigh, Devon. Sam deals with private land enquiries as well as assisting holiday park customers. He works closely with Adam, selling pre-owned caravans to trade customers.
Teresa joined Surf Bay Leisure in April 2014 and works full time alongside our Sales team at our busy Sales Centre in Winkleigh, Devon.
Jane joined Surf Bay Leisure in May 2011 at our busy Sales Centre in Winkleigh, Devon. Jane works closely with Josh & the Sales Team and organises all of our caravan transportation.
Marion first joined Surf Bay Leisure in March 2013 and deals with all of our advertising & marketing. She works closely with our Sales Department and covers Reception when necessary.
Amanda joined our Somerset Sales Centre in November 2016 and works alongside Emma at our Brean Office in Somerset. Amanda handles park enquiries and assists retail customers in finding the perfect holiday home.
Emma joined Surf Bay Leisure in January 2014 and is our Sales Centre Manager for our Sales Centre at Brean in Somerset. Emma works alongside her team, looking after various holiday parks and retail customers.
Baris joined Surf Bay at the beginning of 2015 and is the Yardman at our Somerset Sales Centre. He is also responsible for all of the PDI checks that are carried out in this area.
Amy joined our Dorset Sales Centre in March 2016 and works alongside Linda at our Bridport Office in Dorset. Amy handles park enquiries and assists our park customers with finding the perfect holiday home!
Linda joined Surf Bay Leisure in September 1991 and is one of our longest serving members of staff. She is a full time Sales Advisor and is based at our Sales Centre in Bridport, Dorset where she works alongside Amy.
Adrienne joined Surf Bay Leisure in 1996. Having worked with touring caravan spares and all aspects of caravan holiday home aftersales, she is an experienced member of the Customer Care team.
Charleen joined us in 2016 and works in our busy customer care department as Assistant Manager. Charleen assists Adrienne and ensures the smooth running of the department in Adrienne's absence. She is also Team Leader for all of our large parks.
Isabel joined Surf Bay in 2017 and together with Charleen, Isabel deals with all of our large parks.
Debbie joined Surf Bay Leisure in November 2015 and is based in our Customer Care Department where she is a Team Leader and looks after all of our smaller, unique parks.
Lorraine joined Surf Bay Leisure in September 2011 and works with Debbie looking after our smaller, unique parks.
Claire joined Surf Bay Leisure in September 2003 and works alongside our Customer Care Team. She co-ordinates all of our POI inspections and also manages the movement of all our stock.
Keith joined our main static caravan workshop in 2004, but has since moved to our Customer Care Department and works alongside Steve Woolacott & Matt Peters as a Customer Care Engineer.
Steve joined Surf Bay Leisure in May 1998 as a Customer Care Engineer and covers the whole of the South West region.
Matt joined Surf Bay Leisure as a Customer Care Engineer in September 2015 and works alongside Steve and Keith.
Mel came back to work for Surf Bay in 2013 after having a few years off to start a family with her husband, Steve. She is a valuable member of our team and works part time assisting our Accounts Department.
Mark joined Surf Bay Leisure in September 2015 and works in our Accounts Department dealing with our purchase ledger and banking.
Sam joined Surf Bay Leisure in November 2003 as a Sales Ledger Clerk, before becoming a Purchase Ledger Clerk and now, Management Accountant. At the end of 2007 Sam passed her final AAT exams and works closely with Darren and the Sales team.
Sam joined Surf Bay Leisure in Oct 2009 and is our Web Content Manager. In addition to writing, editing and proof reading site content, Sam works closely with the Sales team crafting site promotions, email newsletters, and online campaigns.
Ray joined Surf Bay in 2016 as our IT manager.
Michelle joined Surf Bay in December 2016 and is based at our Head Office in Devon. Michelle is the friendly face that greets all of our customers, she also undertakes any admin duties.
Josh is the Grandson of the late John Taylor and son of our Managing Director Michael Taylor. Josh has been involved with the business from a young age and is currently running the workshop. He concentrates on ensuring the second hand caravans are being delivered to the highest quality and standards, whilst maintaining close relationships with park owners and our Sales Team, in order to drive the company forward.
